Apple iPad 3 Launch Date Announced
The iPad 3 release date has been in the news loop for long. Here’s some
more rumor – this time, putting the iPad 3 release date closer to March.
Macotakara, a Japanese website dealing with Apple news leaked – or
rumored – that Apple is looking for an early February launch and an
early March release date for the iPad 3. If that is going to happen,
quite a lot of people are going to be happy!
The invitation says, 'We have something you really have to see. And touch.'
The invitation shows a finger over an iPad screen, pointing to the Calendar
app, which is set to March 7.
In a nutshell, the Apple iPad3 will feature a new, thinner and sleeker
design, down nearly 20 percent in size compared to the iPad 2. It will
also support full touchscreen HD display with a screen resolution of
2048 x 1536.
Whether Apple would simply improve and optimize the current dual-core
ARM Cortex A9 processor found in the Apple A5 SoC, or go quad-core has
been a lingering question, with 9to5Mac finding code references to
quad-core but The Verge hearing otherwise. However, it sounds like
they’re going quad-core.
So now Mark your calendars on March 7th, Wednesday. Yerba Buena Center
for the Arts, San Francisco. 6PM Central Time.
