Ekk Deewana Tha Music Review
Gautam Menon’s bilingual (Tamil/Telugu) masterpiece Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (VTV) and Yeh Maaya Chesave
(YMC) is finally being re-made in Hindi as Ekk Deewana Tha with Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson as the
leads. The music of VTV/YMC, composed by A R Rahman, was given as epic a status if not more than the
movie. So it was not a surprise when it was heard that Rahman would be re-making the same songs in
Hindi with lyrics penned by none other than Javed Akhtar.
Fox Star India is releasing the much awaited audio CDs of the movie Ek Deewana Tha on January 6, 2012.
The music of the film was officially launched against the backdrop of the magnificent Taj Mahal on
December 21, 2011. The music has received rave reviews from the critics as well as music lovers.
Officially releasing the music against the backdrop of the magnificent Taj Mahal, a setting that was
as perfect as the stars of the event, the music has already received rave reviews from critics and
music lovers alike. The magic created by the music after its launch has made fans wait in anticipation
for the CD release and today they will be able to take the magic home.
Also, after taking a look at some more reviews, I think it would be better to mention that I have not
heard Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya and hence the review is from the perspective of a person who has NOT
heard the original album, and listening to all the tunes for the first time.
