Maruti Suzuki launches Ertiga
Maruti Suzuki, India's largest car manufacturer on Thursday launched its
utility vehicle Ertiga at an introductory price range of Rs 5.89 lakhs to
Rs 8.45 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
While the petrol variant is powered with a 1.4 litre engine, the diesel
one will have a 1.3 litre powertrain.
Maruti claims that the seven seater car, will come with a fuel efficiency
of 20.77 kmpl for its diesel variant (1.3 litre DDiS Super Turbo engine).
Getting down to specifics, the company claims its petrol car can give a
mileage of 16km/litre. Ertiga’s petrol variant has a K-Series 1.4 litre
engine that can produce 95 PS of power. The MPV’s diesel engine is Fiat-
sourced 1.3 litre DDiS unit, which produces 90 PS of power and claims fuel
economy of 20km/litre.
The petrol variant of Ertiga is powered by a 1,373 cc K14 engine which can
churn out power worth 95 ps at the rate of 6,000 rotations per minute (RPM)
with a fuel efficiency of 16.02 km per litre.
