Amazon India is Junglee.com Launch in India
Amazon is launching in India as Junglee.com. At the time of writing this report Amazon.com already gets
about 7 million unique visitors in a month from India. Junglee.com doesn’t load, but sources in at least
two Amazon partners have confirmed the development . and Junglee mean MAD in hindi . like Jungli Cat and

When contacted, Prabhakar PJ, responsible for Business Development at Amazon.com, declined to comment
on the development. We’ll update in case we get an official confirmation from Amazon PR. We’re getting
varying accounts on when exactly Amazon will launch in India – one source said it was expected last
week, while another said it is expected in a few days.
"With the new service, consumers in India will find it easier to find what they are looking for. When
a customer decides to make a purchase, he or she will be directed to either amazon.com or to the website
of a seller. The ultimate purchase will happen on the seller's website," he added.
With Junglee, Amazon has an ambition “of organizing selection and buying options to make it simple for
customers to find anything using Junglee.” The site’s about us page mentions product categories include
more than 90 lakh books, and 30 lakh products from more than 14,000 Indian and global brands. Junglee
features more than 25 categories including mobile phones, cameras, toys & games, baby products, books,
music, movies & TV, clothing, jewellery, kitchen & home products. You can discover a wide range of
products from bestsellers to unique products such as a 27.12 carat diamond or a Porsche Carrera
